I am curious as if the JCW freshly released here in the US Strut Brace will fit my non S Cooper? I recently had the JCW suspension installed and would like to get a JCW all the way around

I am aware that the details say Cooper S only, as it might have something to do with the battery box. Does anyone know for sure if it will fit?

I am wondering the same thing, and plan to try it after my 2006 MCC arrives in October. The JCW strut brace is designed to clear the extra height of a JCW air intake (which is at the same location as the MC battery), so there's a chance it might also clear the MC battery cover. If not, there is a modified low-profile battery cover available (a bit pricey, though): http://www.promini.com/product-exec/...earch_model/99

 

Thanks for the response! I was looking at some pictures of the brace installed on JCW Cooper S's and I thought the same thing if it can clear the airbox it should clear the battery. I also wasnt aware of the battery cover you mentioned, so some way or other it should work. I may try searching MINI2 as most members on there are overseas and have had the brace available for awhile.
