Koni golds

Does anyone have any experience or educated thoughts on this new product?

FOR YOUR DAILY DRIVER! KONI GOLDS shock absorbers with Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) offer both greater comfort AND improved handling capability!

The FSD's revolutionary technology was designed and patented by KONI to end the compromise between comfort and road-holding. These shocks automatically adjust to road conditions as well as driving style, delivering greater stability and control, and therefore greater driving pleasure.

KONI Golds with FSD technology will transform your MINI into a smoother riding daily driver while also enhancing suspension performance.

For use with factory springs. Direct replacement for stock shocks. Read more here: http://new.minimania.com/ArticleV.cfm?DisplayID=1697

This sounds similar to the Edelbrock IAS shocks. From their web site-

Edelbrock IAS shocks switch instantly between a firm and a soft circuit for superior handling and a smooth ride. There is no other shock that can deliver this kind of performance. Why? Because no other shock has the patented Ricor Inertia Active System or IAS.
They are supposed to switch the circuits based on piston velocity, faster = stiffer to control big bumps or lean in a corner.
I put these on the wifes SUV (Ford Explorer) hoping to improve the handling with mixed results. I think they are too soft for most driving, but I prefer a stiffer ride in all of my vehicles. An adjustable shock gives you the ability to adjust the stiffness to your liking which for me works better.

I don't know if the Koni's work similar or not. Just an observation
