Suspension upper arms/xenon lights.
upper arms/xenon lights.
What are those of you with xenon light and aftermarket upper rear arm doing for the bracket for the self leveling on the lights ? I have a couple ideas but I dont want to re-invent the wheel if I dont have to.
If you have a miniute let me know how you made it work and how much or a problem it was and any parts needed.
If you have pics that is even better.
THANKS!

Very cool, thank you. I hadnt really looked at how th earm attached to the stock arm. I was thinking the mount was incorporated in the factory arm. I didnt realize it was a simple bracked mounted on the arm.
I will install the uppers tomorow.
Got the front bar in today and there is definitly an improvement even on th esoft setting.

Deltman,
The factory arms have holes for screws to attach the sensor brackets. I had the same idea that Tony had was to zip tie them on but could not get the zip ties tight enough to prevent the bracket from rotating and didn't want the zip tie breaking going down the road. The pipe clamp work and when you snug them down, the brackets do not move. I have the front Hsport bar hanging in my garage and one of these days I want to install them.

do you need what the arms? If you have xenon lights the little bracket that is being mounted to the arms is for th eself leveling. If you want this feature to work you need the bracket mounted.
Do you need the arms, probably not from a need standpoint. Most people only do th elower arms and they have no effect on any sensors.

I too was going to use a hose clamp, and I will most likely put one on when I go for an alignment. I'm actually using two zip ties, strategically placed, and pulled quite tight. I noted the position of the bracket on the stock arm, and placed it in the identical left/right location, and orientation on the Alta arm. With a Sharpie, I marked the bar so I can note movement, and for ease of re-install. So far, it has not moved...
