Actually, I don't have any pics of my car after lowering in my NAM gallery and not even on my MINI2 gallery. I'll have to put some on when I get home

Here's my car with M7's and 17" wheels with 215/40 Falkens.

The photos are kinda washed out because the sun was really bright, but you get the idea :D

Are there any reports of how these springs are performing after some period of time? Do they maintain the ride quality, height, etc.? Do you or others know about the handling properties of the car when these springs are mated with an aftermarket swaybar (e.g., the H-Sport Competition)? I know you just recently installed your springs, so excuse me for using your post to ask a few questions...

Hey Bob..

I've had my springs on for about 4 months now. I also have an H-Sport Rear Comp. Sway bar, and it's been great. I've noticed no change in ride height at all. The performance was SO much better with the spring/sway combination, it's hard to explain. Also, I only have the sway bar on the softest setting. I'm getting ready to adjust it to the middle setting pretty soon most likely.

To be completely honest, I have a feeling I'll need to replace the shocks sooner than I would if I didn't put the springs on, but that's the case with any aftermarket spring as far as I know. It compresses the shocks and lessens their life. So far, the stock shocks have held up well, however I have talked to a few people that have aftermarket springs that have complained of some decrease in shock absorption. Maybe someone that has experienced this can substantiate that...

Anyway, just some thoughts

Is there anyone with regrets of buying the M7 Springs. I just want to be sure that they are right for me.

Also what should I tell my parents the reason for buying these is, my dad would probably know somewhat, but my mom! I just want them to know the reason for shelling out the $200+ for them. My father already okayed the Ultimate Grill I just think they will be hesitant on buying new springs for a car that is less than 8 months old.

(shhh... my parents lurk on this site! I have gotten grounded for my antics in other threads ie: "Help I am a MINI Abuser!")

Also what is involved in installing these babies.

Mikey

BTW my friend has this car from Eurobahn/Rotora and he has 19s and -1.5 inch eibachs on them, my car won't look like this right??
Here's his car.(attachment)

I purchased the springs this week with the M7 AGS. I chose to do the AGS first. I am looking forward for the springs install next weekend. Anyone have these springs with 18" rims and OEM areo kit. I already rub curbs, how much worse is it going to be?? I'll post some picture after i'm done. BTW AGS...I love it!!!

Have you all noticed that the rear looks lower than the front with M7 springs?

I looked at that and thought the same thing. I think it's because the wheels fit into the wheel well further. When I look at my car taking that view out of it, it's level. However, if it settles any more I think it will be off, and too low in the rear. But for now, it's a smooth ride, and it's working!

I went to order M7 springs today and they are out! Looks like I have to wait until August 17th when Peter says they will get here. I was so pumped on dropping my car and now I have to wait a bit longer. M7's for sure. Cooper44's looks real nice. I'm sweating them.

U guys are so lucky!
I almost for once wish that I had parents that didn't care! I really want it dropped more than just 10mm, and really don't want to pay that much money (JCW Susp.) Just keep posting pics so I can dream!

You want PIC?

You can see in this picture that the rear is slightly lower than the front. Is there a way to raise it up a bit? I'm thinking to stick some rubber to raise it up...no?

Yep, the car looks lower in the rear. BTW, do you have automatic or can the pooch double clutch?

It looks lower because the wheel arch isn't as high in the rear as it is in the front. If you are only comparing those two points, it looks off. When my car is parked in my garage on a flat surface, it's level.

m7's with Aero and 18" wheels?

Does anybody have this combo? I am debating between the m7's and the H sports. I don't know if the extra drop between the h-sports and the m7's will make my car too low for drive ways and speed bumps.

i have driven over plenty of speed bumps and have not dragged the underside of the car at all. as far as driveways, go in at an angle (i did this when i had the stock suspension on as well) and that will prevent you from dragging the front of the car. hope that helps!
