Suspension Strange Popping sound with PSS9
Strange Popping sound with PSS9
Hi,
I just installed some Pss9s on my MCS, and now there's a strange popping sound coming from the front (both left and right) when I turn the wheel at 0-low speeds...has anyone else experienced this?
If so is it normal and will it go away, or is there something wrong?
It almost sounds like the springs are snapping up and hitting something, but I'm not sure
Thanks for any info...
Louay

between the caps and the coils?
the instructions call for them but I didn't have them anymore so we went without...
That sucks cuz now it's basically like starting all over again...what did your friend do?

From the FAQ:
64. BILSTEIN shocks make a noise.
On the spare part set the support bearings ( dome bearings ) should also be exchanged because the metal-rubber connections become soft or crack. Although you might not have previously noticed any noise, you may hear a metallic knocking noise when new shock absorbers have been fitted. This is very often caused by the support bearings. A wrong sequence in the assembly of the fittings can also lead to noise.
