Sorry I don't, but I bet there should be a number of pics showing H-Sport, M7 and Alta in this Suspension category. Or, any one who wants to post theirs, here is the place, and you can find the best ones to post.

For Bilstein PSS9 coil overs:
The ride height for both MC and MCS is adjustable from nearly stock to scraping the tires (slammed).

From-
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...highlight=PSS9

325lb/in front springs - progressive
345lb/in rear spring with a 115lb/in tender or helper spring - linear

For any adjustable coil overs you can just list drop as "adjustable".
Right now for my MCS I have about a 2" drop front and rear.

Anyone knows the rate of Eibach, front and rear?

I heard that the OEM shocks are adjustable, as in we can adjust the height of the springs if it's too low. Is it true, That sounds b/s to me though. Anyone got pics of the OEM standard shocks?

What I find most interesting is that different sets have different relative rates from front to rear. Some sets have a slight front bias, some are pretty much the same front and rear, and some have a much stronger rear spring. It sems to me that the sets which have much stronger rear springs might not work well with a 22mm rear bar. Is there any truth to that?

At the time this was posted, there was no JCW. If you have any JCW stats, please post them and I will edit the first posting.

I just installed a set of PSS9's in my 05 MCS. I set the ride height in
the middle of the permissible adjustment range, measured for the top
edge of the spring seat down to the center of the bottom mounting screw.

Front permissible adjustment range 210-230mm set at 220mm drop LF 1 3/16" RF 1 1/4"

Rear permissible adjustment range 175-195mm set at 185mm drop LR & RR 1 1/16"

The permissible adjustment front and rear is 20mm so from the middle setting the car
can be raised or lowered 10mm (0.394")

The Drop range is:
Front ~7/8 to 1 5/8"
Rear ~5/8 to 1 1/2"

Well I finally got some springs and a sway bar on my car. What a huge difference.

I took some before and after pics of the ride height for anyone who is interested. I put on H&R springs w/ stock struts/shocks and a MINI-Madness rear sway bar. I hope this helps anyone who is interested

BTW, there is nothing artistic about these images, just before and after. It was to early in the morning and I was to tired afterwards to be anywhere close to creative. Oh, blackspyder thanks for the help on these.

M7 SPRINGS sit too low in rear

All input is welcome. I just installed my m7 coil springs today. The rear is just sitting to low. around streets ride is very harse and kindy bumpy on the FWY its fine. have alot of Mini owners experience the same problem with the M7 coil spring. The front sits nice. The rear is too low. The tires are almost squating going much too negative on the camber.

I see jenn. Installed M7 springs ? how is your ride around city driving.

I see Eibach H sports after the results it looks nice.

anyone with pics of there car with M7 springs pls post pics.

Thanks Guido.

I have absolutely no problems with mine. My camber is perfect and it's not a Lexus, the ride isn't going to be like silk. But I don't consider mine harsh at all. Pretty comfortable and most importantly, the handling is great.

2 questions

1. What are the spring rates of the stock Cooper S Cabrio?

2. What are the spring rates of the Cooper S SS+ suspension.

I have added a 19mm rear sway bar and it feels much better, but still has a bit of a push. 20-30% stiiffer rear springs should do the trick.

I just read this thread, and saw that there's only one set of H&R springs listed...

But (at least over here in germany) there are 2 (3) different sets!!

First there are green springs, lowering rated at 30mm, for all cars from 03/2002 onwards. then there are 30mm springs, which are black, for cars up to 03/2002 production date.
and there are the "red" ones, the "sport" version, rated at 35mm lowering...

So, I think that's the reason why some post a 30mm drop, and some 35mm drop!!
