Tein Super Street Coilover

Does any one here use Tein Super Street Coilover? $1250 not a bad price, you get the option of the EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller) too. Sound like a cool product!

JSC Speed has it for a bit less. BUT, they state that the spring rates for both front and rear are 504lbs! Not sure you can get them less stiff or not, but I may check into that today.

I DO like the remote adjustment!

504lbs/in?! that's too waaaay too stiff for street on a MCS.

Even the springs I use on my 3500lbs car is max 463lbs/in!

I would stay away from the low-end Tein stuff. You've got to get into the upper midrange of their products to find anything worth spending money one.

As to the comment about spring rates... that's a pretty standard starting point with the JDM companies. High spring rates have become a test of manhood for all the ricers.

500lbs/in ... that is just plain stupid for street. can you say hop hop hop
hop hop hop rattle rattle rattle crack! (that was your back breaking).

the S-Tech rates are about where you need to be.

I have the coilovers with the EDFC. Love them, as I had said in other posts, no harsh ride or problems. With the EDFC you can adjust on the fly. Check my other post I put a link to the install. I have a Porsche with the PSS9 kit, love it too, but a pain to change, dont know where it was before on clicks and with the EDFC you pre-program 3 memory buttons - soft medium and track if you want. Don't knock them until you try them. Great option.
