02 mcs spring to 05 MC

I want to upgrade my springs on the cheap, so I was looking to buy a used on off a MCS. The only question i have is can I fit any MCS spring on mine? I know there were some changes in 02-03, but could anybody give me more details? more specifically I don't care about the stiffness of the ride really so I want to get the pre-softened springs, is it possible to get a set from an old MCS and put it on my 05 MC?

Yes, you can install MCS springs in any year MC.
You might also want the MCS rear sway bar as well.
Your suspension will be stiffer similar to the MC with sport suspension plus.

very well.

how come in one post I read that the brackets are different for the early
02's? I would prefer to get the ones that were on the early 02's since supposedly they are stiffer than today's SS+ springs

Supposedly the more heavily the car is optioned, the stiffer the springs.

hm...

it says in this thread https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ght=mcs+spring

that the linkages for the sway bars were changed in march 02, same time when the springs were softened.

does this mean I can't fit the non softened springs on my 05 MINI, also, does it make a big difference that the car with the springs dosn't have moon roof and mine does?

I still have my springs and sway for my 02 MCS with all the heavy add ons.
If you interested let me know.
