Koni Specal Active Shocks long term review

I see that most sites currently have a 20% off sale on Koni Special Active shocks. I'm thinking about replacing my originals with a set, but I've seen some negative reviews on them as well as the earlier Koni FSD's. Anyone here have any long term reviews of them and if they are still reccomended? My 08 Clubman S is all stock and has the non-sport suspension. I plan to use the original springs and just want the best ride. I'm currently at 62k miles, 215-45/17 non-run/flat tires and have alway thought the car still rides very well. This picture was taken in April going over Donner Pass. If any of you have driven this road you know how rought it is from all the winter salt and plowing California does to the road resulting a very rough section of freeway.

Only two data points for you, but I loved the results when I switched out my original R53 'performance package' shocks for Koni FSDs, and felt the same when I went with the Special Active shocks for my R61 (Paceman). I kept the original springs on both vehicles.
