Swaybar-stay collars, where?

I currently live in Italy... no Pepboys, Autozone, Napa...phooie

Need to find collars to fit my 19mm swaybar that prevent it from sliding left and right in the bushings.

Anyone have an online source for them? I see several kits that include them, but I only need the collars. Thought about welding washers on the bar, but I'm feeling too lazy to pull the bar to do it.

thanks all!

B.M.M.,
I'm no metallurgist but I would think that welding would change the functional characteristics of the bar.

In a former lifetime (miata ownership) the simple solution to the 'aftermarket bar with no collars' was to put very tight, screw-type hose clamps on either side of the bar to subframe mounts. It worked for many people, and only costs a few bux.

YMMV...good luck!

Hah! That's brilliant in its simplicity. Embarassed I didn't think of it. I might just do that... at least until I can locate collars.

Still like to find the collars as a longer term solution. Thanks dryver!

split collars available from www.mcmaster.com pages 1032-1033. $7 US ea.

Here's a sample install (not on a MINI, but similar application)

Many thanks RHT3!

Ordered Aluminum for 19mm bar (3/4" actually) at $4.48 each. Shipping here to Italy is gonna cost more than the parts.

Great link My daughter broke the a tie rod on my wife's taurus, and the taurus club link showed up with a picture of where I need to work. Saved me some time figuring it out. I guess you can find anything on NAM
