Top mount spacers?!

Does something like this exist? Has anyone made some? I am going with coilovers, but they give a .5" drop, which I'm trying to avoid (rubbing/snow etc). Does anyone make a spacer that would go on the top hat to get that .5" of clearance back? It occurred to me that a simple spacer with cutouts for the shock top and bolts would be pretty easy to cut/water jet out of a .5" plate.

Not .5", but Craven Speed has under tower plates to help prevent mushrooming for first gen MINI's.

I have these in my r53 and they added about .25". I added these to avoid mushrooming. I'm actually thinking of adding coil overs to lose about a .5" for looks. just some food for thought.
