Suspension H&R and other susp. questions
H&R and other susp. questions
I'm sure I read somewhere on here that there had been a manufacturing problem with an earlier release of the H&R coilovers. Can you tell which ones you are getting if you were buying a used set? I have been assured they were only used for show
, no miles on them, but I'd like to know if they are trouble free before I buy em.
A couple of other related questions while I'm here if it's okay...
1. Lower rear adjustable control arms... Definitely needed with the H&R? Are they easily adjustable by a complete-know-nothing layman (me). And how do you know which way to adjust them, how much adjustment, etc?
2. I have the Madness sway bar with stock end links...I've read that some people have snapped the stock one, but after making an enquiry to one of our vendors on here I have been told that the stock ones are perfectly fine. Any thoughts on that.
I'm just trying to figure out what all I should be getting done all at once while the H&R's (or whatever I decide on) are getting installed.
Thanks,
Ken

1. The more you lower the car, the more you need to correct your rear camber; hence rear adjustable control arms. No, if you're not intimately familiar with suspension setup, bring it to someone that is (like an alignment shop).
2. The stock end-links, while not the pinnacle of strength, work just fine.
