so little time, so much to learn

There is so little discussion these days here on one most important areas of performance cars. I have been reading up on some old threads from circa 2007 on the discussions of effect of wheel offset and diameter on handling. Because of that I started to read up more on suspension and handling, and I found this excellent site "Autocross to Win" and cannot stop reading it. A lot of great stuff here and not too over my head. Most are quite easy to follow and understand.

The following chapter deals with dampers, which answers many questions that I had when I was in the market for shocks.

I love reading through that site, thanks for the reminder! I used it as a guide a few years ago when setting up my Miata.

be careful what you read on the web

While just browsing the sites to assess if they should be bookmarked, I came across one rank like second on Google search. It has prominent ad of racing books and the site has a few paragraphs on each aspects of suspension system. In the caster section, it explains that the caster allows gyroscopic effect of the spinning wheel to keep the car straight.
