How low can I go?

I was wondering if any expert can tell me how low can I drop my car without serious rubbing, im currently trying to find a good coil setup and want to know exactly how low can I go (if i can't use most of the height range then forget it)

i run on a set of very square bridgestone re750 215/45-17 on a set of motegi ff6 wheels with offset at 42mm

thanks in advance... currently finding out if it's possible to get a set of used pss9s, or new tein type ss coil, and been thinking about the h&r rss...

There is an MCS in my area that used coil overs and dropped it to the max. The fenders were sitting on the tires and the owner didn't think he could drive it out on the road so he had it raised a bit more. It think the drop was about 1.5 inches or maybe a little more. Coil overs are adjustable so you can get more fine tuning than you can with lowering springs. The max drop you could get with springs probably will be from HR springs, about 40mm.

I have H-sport springs with 1" drop front and rear and square shouldered Yokohama ES100 tires in 215/45-17 and I get rubbing with four people but not with two people.
My wheels are 17x7" with offset of +42mm.

thanks for the help guys

im not so worried about getting too low, i have no options (so no sunroof) so i think it places the coils slightly higher (dont know where i read that)

what's the drop range for the pss9 anyways... i know tein drops at least 1 inch to about 2 inches... h&r rss is similar as well

also, dropping is one thing, all i need to do really is to trim the inside plastic well if it rubs too badly
