Looking for Coilovers (R56)

Hey! First time posting on here, but I've been a Mini owner for almost 4 years. Onto a 2010 Cooper S Hatch & looking for coilovers. I dont know which are good, so just looking in general. Was considering lowering springs, but I already know I will not get my desired look so I rather just get the coils now.
Located in FL, but PayPal ready. Nothing toooo expensive please.

There are lots of threads on this, do a search in this portion of the forum.

Basically, you get what you pay for. Not all coil overs go super low.

Re-post more info. Include how low you want to go, how much budget you have, and purpose of the car (daily driver, autocross/track, or a blend of both). What other mods are you planning?

You could also call one of the vendors that support the forum, this is a common question. Way Motor Works, Mini Mania, ECS tuning, Detroit Tuned are a few, but there are more.

Have fun,
Mike

We offer several sets of coilovers in different price ranges and performance. But if you want the best check out our TSW spec coilovers as they have been put together specific for the MINI and perform awesome and predictable, but retain a good ride.
TSW Spec KW V2

FYI we have FREE shipping on them too.

Oh okay, gotcha. I will do that now. & It is my daily driver. I intend on eliminating my entire wheel gap which is pretty bad at the moment. I am currently searching for rims & a lip which will help me determine how low I can comfortably go. Any other mods will be cosmetic. I don't plan on changing much else after I lower it. I do not want the cheapest out there, but I do not want to lay out 2k at this very moment either.

Quality coil-overs + new wheels + new tires will run significantly north of $2K.

If you are on a budget, and just looking to pimp the ride, why not get lowered springs and save money that way?

I have my new wheels, $425. Have to go buy tires still.
Looking into buying bc coilovers which is going to run me $995. I have the money if I need to put it out, just would've preferred to spend less. But from what I hear, it'll be worth it. You do get what you pay for so I rather spend a little more for quality. I considered lowering springs, but everyone I know told me they already know I'm going to want to go lower than what the springs will allow so I rather now even attempt to go down that path. If anyone is selling any used coilovers, I am a serious buyer.

If you want to go a little lower +1 on the lowering springs ( H&R , NM Engineing ). If you want to dial in your height = Coilovers, and go lower. +1 on getting what you pay for. I like the ST, KW V1, and H&R Coilovers.

Good luck whatever you choose.

Look at CAtuned on Instagram. They are a bad *** BMW shop on norcal Sacramento. There now building coils for our cars and I believe I'll be their flagship car running them. They also have a website. 1k for the set with camber plates

BC coilovers are the same as Megan/ISC/D2/etc. A complete waste of money imo. ST's on the other hand are made by KW and are a great damper for the price if you can live without bump and rebound adjustment. From reading what you wrote so far it looks like that wont be an issue. Its much better to spend money once, and not have to buy again in 6 months when the BC's are falling apart.

Megan or ST coils might be what you are looking for. they are adjustable and can go lower to remove the wheel gap. if this is your daily driver only, then these coils are fine. the other more expensive sets gives you more settings, but tend to be stiffer and less comfortable for daily driving.

you may want to look at springs/shock combos or the H&R cup kits.

I put on ST's about a week ago that I got from ECS. Couldn't be happier with the quality and the install was a cinch. Ride is firmer than stock but better if you can believe that. I thought the stock suspension on my car was too wallowy but now it feels controlled.

Sorry to bring up the old thread, but would you consider the ride comfortable? bounce or stiff?
