Going on the notion that the H&R springs will satisfy the desired ride height, which setup would you go with, and why, considering the following variables?

  • · Daily driver
  • · No track use
  • · Lowering mainly for aesthetics (benefiting from the performance)

1.) H&R springs with factory Dynamic Damper Control and sport suspension on stock shocks

or

2.) BC Racing BR coilovers with factory sport suspension (what would be left of it)

Basically, I’m looking for solid reasons to go with the coilover setup as opposed to the H&R springs. I have 70,000 miles on stock shocks and H&R springs (R56s) and have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

Thanks for your input!

If the springs get you to the height you want, and you already have the sport suspension, which I think has stiffer shocks, right? Then I'm not sure that full coilovers would be worth the cost. Unless you plan on adjusting ride height, at which point obviously springs won't help with at all.
