Alta PSRS...updates?

Hey all,

Having a search around on here and most (bar about 1 that i could find) on the subject of the Alta PSRS's all dated back to 2007.

Just wondering, with the years on, what peoples thoughts are on these still?

Im thinking about getting these myself. My car is a daily and I really only ever do spirited driving. One day I may do a track day, but that would be a one off. So just wondering with people that have had them for a few years if you still love them?
Downsides? I read a few posts with people saying bumpy roads tend to cause a clinking/banging sound (the roads here in NZ are crap!) was the nosies caused by the PSRS's?

Cheers in advance
Matt

I think the general consensus is the the ALTA PSRS are junk. Save your money.

Every set we've installed has come back clunking and rattling. Even the ones welded to keep them from moving still wore out. Go with the powerflex bushings and never look back as they are the most reliable.

Sorry to chime in here late guys, the ALTA PSRS was updated a few years back to include a urethane bushing so it no longer will have issues with rattling or screws to retighten! It is not much more streetable, and won't require any maintenance. If you guys have any more questions, let me know.

Hey Chris,
Thanks for that.

Can I ask, how streetable (or non-streetable) are they?
Roads here in NZ are crap! and is my daily so wondering if these are worth it or no?

They are very streetable, it will add noticeable NVH over the factory bushings, but the added handling will be worth it!

No problem, NVH is noise vibration harness.

I live in an area with very crappy, crap-*** roads.

Had PSRS Bushings installed last January. Made an immediate improvement in turn-in and so far, they're quiet and crisp.

The car is my daily-driver, I'm in sales and probably logged 15,000 miles since the install.

Can you provide the part number for the new urethane bushing..I replaced my old style with the new bushing and they work great. Other people are asking about it but I've lost track of the part number.

Thanks
