Suspension Coilover question
Different (r56) front top mount/camber plates required and the rear tapered seating washer from the rear R56 shock. If you look at the 2 rear shocks you will see that the R56 has a tapered section that fits directly in to the rear control arm. The conversion piece/washer is available if you look around or if your R56 shock are shot you can cut that portion off and have it machined flat or maybe with a grinder/belt sander if you are careful.
So the actual shock bodies them selves are the same, besides on the rear, the lower alignment spacer? I'm just curious since I came across a deal on fk coilovers but they're for an r53. I have r56 mounts for front and rear and will get camber plates for the front in a little. It might be worth jumping on.
They should fit with the above mods..I run R56 kit on my R53 (with R56 aluminum rear trailing arms) only issue seemed to be that the this particular kit (eibach) has long rear shocks compared to my Megan coilovers.
