Strut Question

I purchased some Sachs struts. One of the struts came out of the box with the lower spring plate loose. The other strut the lower spring plate is firmly attached at the lower strut body. Is this normal?

No it isn't. I'd contact the seller about a replacement.

I had the same thing happen with a KONI Sport strut right outta the box. They promptly replaced it under warranty.

Thank You for the feedback. Common sense and intuition told me it wasn't normal. I wanted to double check before seeking a return. Nothing looked damaged, it was just loose.
