Suspension Eibach sway bars
Hi,
I bought them, and will have them fitted shortly along with a quaife diff. My car is being aimed towards fast country road driving in Scotland/UK and a reasonable lap of the Nurburgring Norschleif. So my post is more to keep your thread going for now :-).
I had a chat with the guys who have won the mini racing championship several times over the last few years and they agreed that H&R springs, EIbach 'sway' bars front and rear and standard dampers is a reasonable combo.
The issue with most coilover kits is that they become to hard for road and u risk being 'bounced' off the road when you hit a big enough compression at speed on a bend. Keeping in mind our country roads are insane compared to most of my experience of North American driving (only a few states yet).
We felt that the sway bars would help with roll and composure without having to have springs and dampers that were so firm that we would be useless on anything but beautiful smooth tarmac (Which we dont have much of over her due to the weather).
Whats your aim with the car? :-)
Regards,

i went with the hsport competition rear sway bar - it's hollow, only weighs 5.5lbs or so
I'm not planning in doing anything as for as track use but just back road twisties. My MINI is also my daily driver so I'm not going to want to go with to extreme of a setup. I ordered the control arm bushing set up from madness motor works and while I was talking them I asked about sway bars and they said to save ride quality replace the rear but only the bushings on the front. In thinking if going that route. Opinion?
