Suspension Will gen1 front wishbone powerflex bushings fit gen2 mini???

I ordered my powerflex front bushings from WAYMOTORWORKS Specifying that I own a generation 2 R57 Mini Cooper. They sent me the generation one bushings. I called them to see if they could send me the generation two bushings and they said they don't ship generation two bushings because they are softer than generation one bushings. First I would like to know if the generation one bushings will fit generation 2 Mini Cooper, and second is it true that the generation one bushings are softer than the generation two bushings?
