Stud Conversion

I have been looking around and find prices from $30 up toalmost $300 for wheel stud conversions. I have a 2010 mini cooper s and waswondering what the difference might be between then and if the ones from ther53 will work in the r56? I found a set at a reasonable price at Detroit tunedby Helix, i know Detroit tuned won’t sell anything that is garbage and Helixhas a great reputation as well! But they are only for the 06 and older willthey work on my r56?

There is a date split on the r53 because mini switched to a thicker (think 14 mm bolt) from thinner, industry standard bolt/lug ( 12mm I think)....
So the older pre2006 studs will not work...
99% of rims can be used with either hole size/bolts....there is enough wiggle room there....

You may want to check out our TSW stud kits. these convert the studs to 1.5 thread pitch so getting new nuts is easier and cheaper.

We also do a kit that converts to 12mm if you don't have 14mm holes in the wheels

Thanks Way! Hopefully there will be a black Friday or cyber Monday special on these!? How will they hold up to the abuse of a track car?

We've done hundreds of auto-x runs on the 14 to 12mm conversion studs and have had zero issues.

The Muteki nuts we offer are a tuner style nut to give you more clearance.
