205 vs 215 on a 17 inch rim..have a couple questions.

I'm looking at a set of 17/7 Konig rims and also bought a set of coilovers and plan on tucking the front wheels with a very slight rake in the rear. I know a lot of it depends on the offset of the wheels but ballparking it has anyone put a 215 on a set of Konig wheels, or is it really even worth putting the 215's on a 7 inch wide rim?

I know there is a lot of variables here but just need some basic information.

Thanks guy's!!!

Is it really necessary to post the same question in two different forums?

Yes you can run a 215 on a 7" rim. A 205 vs 215 isn't really going to make a huge difference. The offset you decide on will. You're planning on tucking tire which is awfully low in the front. Like really low. Like possibly binding your axles low.

You have to decide how extreme you want to get in your fitment. Want that hellaflush look? Time to run 195s and lots of camber. It all comes down to how much work you want to put into it. This isn't really something that you can just "bolt on and go".

215s will fit fine lol. i'm debating whether to go 205 or 225 on a 16" wheel. lot of tests seem to support not going crazy on tire width, marginal or even slightly negative gains for street tires if they don't have the sidewall support. i've had stock 175s on 5.5, 195s on 5.5, 205s on 6.5s. 205 on 6.5" was totally fine, so you're really just adding 10mm of tire for a 12.7mm gain in wheel width. should be perfect.

that's fitment for tire to wheel, fitment for the car will depend on other things, mainly offset like v10climber said, and your suspension set up etc.

I have VR TE37 in Toyo T1 Sport 215/45-17. It fits well with with stock suspension. No scrubbing at all.

It is nice to run non-runflat and the weight saving is apparent. Try it and you will never go back to Runflat.
