DIY Suspension

How hard is it to do suspension on your own?
I recently ordered the Hsport lowering springs
Camber plates
and the 19 mm rear swaybar.

Are these things an amateur can do?

I of course recognize I would need an alignment after....

Here is a DIY post for the springs:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post3682429

When you do the rear springs, drop 3 of the 4 bolts holding the rear suspension subframe and loosen the 4th to almost all of the way out (that will make it easier to reassemble). Then remove and replace the sway bar. Put the subframe back in and then install the shocks and springs.

Do some searches on NAM (google works well if you start the search with northamericanmotoring.com). There are a lot of DIY posts on here and the bolt torques that you will need.

Not too hard.

I've done 2 now. No camber plates, not needed, but I would say the toughest, or potentially the most dangerous part is the removal and replacement of the springs on the struts\shocks. Use a decent spring compressor that is made for or can accommodate smaller, short coil springs. Watch your fingers and your face.
I hope you are doing lower control arms in the rear? The bolt that holds that control arm up on the body side is a little fun to get to behind the shield. Probably should take about 4 hours with a helper. Good luck and be safe!
