JCW SS Aligment Settings

Looking to get a wheel alignment done on my car. Does anybody have the wheel alignment settings for a 2012 JCW with Sport Suspension?

Either nobody knows or this is a dumb question because I asked the same thing probably a month ago and never got any responses. Hopefully someone who actually knows the specifications will chime in. I am pretty sure both front and rear are just set to zero toe but not sure what else... I know some people change the toe for autocross.

Oh well, I've been able to find the alignment setup for the upgraded JCW suspension - might just go with that for now.

I feel like the answer to your question must be somewhere on the internet but I would imagine no toe for road use and I imagine it would fall somewhere between -1&-2 camber. No idea about caster.

You cannot easily adjust caster on the mini. You can adjust camber and toe.

Is this the upgraded sport suspension or the add on JCW suspension.

This is for the factory upgraded sports suspension option rather than the full-on (red-springed) JCW suspension.

Thanks for posting. What was your source? What does that translate in camber for the front when people say they have -1 camber?

Apologies, front axle camber is actually -35' so as a decimal value that's approx. -0.58.

I love the +- values... Talk about allowable percentage of error. If I am interpreting that correctly.

Here is a site for easy conversion.

I just looked closely at that document and it estimates 4 hours of installation time and 2 hours for alignment for a total of 6 hours. I was quoted by two dealers that it will take 20 or more hours of labor to install the JCW suspension. I knew they were ripping me off on the installation charge. I obviously did not get it installed.

Which is why you shouldn't even bother looking at the factory "specs."
They suck.

Max out front negative camber with the free camber mod (it still isn't all that much, around -1 which is nothing). Then zero toe front and rear. Some like a little toe, but I leave that up to the user. Zero is a good starting point and what I run. A bunch of toe will cause excessive wear (it has more effect than lots of camber).

Rear camber isn't adjustable. If you have aftermarket adjustable rear arms, aim for -1.5 or so.

You'll have better handling and more even tire wear.
