I'm new to this group and new to the MINI world so forgive me if I ask stupid questions. I'm debating on whether or not to lower my r56 or to rally it out. I can find tons of info on lowering the suspension and things of that sort, but there is not a ton of info out there that I can find regarding a rally setup. During my search for a suspension mod I came across D2 rally coilovers. They are made in tarmac and gravel versions. The tarmac allows for a stock height to 3" drop without affecting the longer stroke provided by the rally coilovers. The gravel allows for +/- 1.25" without affecting the travel. Both are adjustable. My question is, has anyone ever used a D2 coilover or know anything about them? Are they quality pieces? Thanks for your time.

I have used d2's for an e36 3 series and was surprised at how I liked them. A few friends got them for their m3's then and they also had good experiences. I don't have any experience on the mini yet though. Hope that helps a little.
