Suspension Do I need an alignment?
Do I need an alignment?
I am getting craven strut tower defenders, madness motor works (formerly mini madness) lower stress bar, and a madness motor works rear sway bar. I am probably not gonna put in the rear sway bar until my brakes need replacing, which will be soon. But I want to install the strut tower defenders and lower stress bar in the next week or so. So do I need an alignment after I put those two things on? Judging by the install guide they seem to not effect anything that would require a realignment. I imagine the rear sway bar would require an alignment after installation though. Thanks in advance for your answers.
I don't believe so. I had my rear sway bar installed (h-sport) and I pretty much trust my mechanic (he is a Mini mech.) and he said I didn't at the time. I've since had him install coilovers which he did do the alignment.
Also, prior to the coilovers, I installed a MiniMania alloy strut brace bar which didn't call for aliignment either.
