Suspension Time for Shocks
Time for Shocks
OK, time for my Justa to get new shocks.
They will be Konis.
My car is a daily driver, never "tracked", and has an automatic. We put Yoko Avid Envigors on it awhile back to improve its ride quality and to help keep the car from shaking itself and its occupant to death.
Ride is more important than ultimate handling.
Konis are on sale everywhere right now, and my cars have always had them eventually, so the shocks will be Konis.
Do I want adjustable Yellows or FSDs? The cost is within a few dollars so that's not a consideration.
Your thoughts.
And yes, I've read all of the shock threads here, but they all seems to deal with ultimate performance rather than daily use and comfort.

I saw several different ads online for a Koni FSD kit that comes with lowering springs. Does this mean Koni has changed their mind about using lowering spring with the FSD shocks?

You're right. The Koni website states the FSD shocks must be used with stock height springs on the Mini. They do offer FSD+Eibach lowering kits for other cars though. It's shocking that they didn't design them to handle lowering springs on the Mini.
