Magnetic Dampers

Tried a couple searches on this and no hits in this forum. Anyone running the new magnetic dampers on the Mini or are they even made for our cars?

None available. Closest option is Koni FSD. Not magnetic, but they self adjust via internal hydraulic channels and valves. They work great, have less parts to fail, cost less and weigh less than a magnetic setup.

Magnetorheological dampers are not available in the aftermarket. The system relies heavily on input from many sensors on the vehicle and requires specialized proprietary software and highly skilled engineers to tune.

There is really nothing close to it available, it's basically a computer controlled semi-active system.

Koni FSD's are decent, but they are basically a normal passive shock with an additional spring loaded valve that allows them to be soft for high frequency bumps but stiff at low frequencies for good handling.
