Suspension VMaxx spring binding?
VMaxx spring binding?
So I installed my coilovers in January and I keep hearing these weird clunking/popping noises in the front when i turn left/right while going slow. Looks like the noise is coming from their refusal to turn as the wheels are turning. However, after certain points they begin to turn like they are supposed to, but not in a smooth movement. I think the friction is what's causing the clunking/popping noises. They are also definitely binding. I can see that the wrapping is coming off, so I'm going to have to fix that.
I know that they are cheap and I get what I pay for. I just helped my brother install some KSports. And it would have been a better investment to throw a dampening coil-over system for my current ride height.
Anyway, I think I have come up with three solutions. Would really like to hear from you guys on what would be best...
1) Buy one of these "stops"/top mount/bushings for my car

But I don't have any idea where to get one, and I think it would be ideal.
2) Ditch the progressive "beehive" springs for some stiffer springs. Probably Swift. They would fit better in the OEM mount, I think.
3) Buy some STs, KWs, or H&R
This is strictly for aesthetic purposes, since this is my dd. Would like to hear from some VMaxx owners as well. TIA
