I recently have purchased a used set of Megan Coilovers. I am having issues with the front left one. Its seized up. I cant adjust the height i got the locking ring to move but now i cant get the bottom piece to move. I have soaked it in PB for the last 4 days. Any ideas on how to move this. Also the other question is where can i clamp it down so i wont destroy the threads but keep it from just spinning.

 

Spray as much penetration oil as you can from both the top and bottom let it soak. Put the lower part in a vice and then use your spanner wrench on the spring perches to hopefully rotate the shock body. You may have to work it both ways and have to clean up the treads afterwards.

 

Heat the outer part up before the PB, it will help draw the PB in.

 

Okay so when i try and turn it the rings turn together even with there right up against each other. I tightened them together as tight as i can go. Still just turns them on the threads..
