Coilover sleeves for Koni Yellows?
Not sure this topic has been covered. I have a set of Koni yellows with H&R springs and I was wondering if anyone has developed a coilover sleeve for these. Koni shows they carry an adjustable coilover type spring perch sleeve for the yellows, and Outmotoring shows that their custom coilovers are Koni Yellows with an adjustable spring perch. Not sure what is entailed in converting these, but the original Koni spring perch is removable, so it doesn't appear to be that crazy of an idea. Anyone familiar with this setup, the Outmotoring setup or have any ideas on if there is a kit to convert? Thanks!

Hmm I know exactly what you're talking about...it's a Honda thing
Seriously though, Ground Control suspensions made/makes "coilover" sleeves...

I looked into this quite a bit but ended up with regular springs.
The rear would be a piece of cake.
For the front you can send the struts to Koni and they can do the work for you. Someone on here welded a support ring on their fronts for a sleeve....that would make me nervous but perhaps it's something you're comfortable with.
If you already have coilover springs and Koni Yellows it's definitely an option worth considering.
You can get cheapo ebay coilover sleeves that will probably rust by the time you take them out of the box, or get the real deal from Koni (which still aren't that expensive).
Post up if you go through with it!

Koni Yellows are a better damper than so many of the cheap crap coilovers out there. And the damper adjustments are actually useful. So this would be better than many other REAL coilover options (that actually suck because they use awful dampers).
I know you like ST stuff and I actually think they're great too, but in terms of quality of damping the Koni Yellow is probably a small step ahead in terms of performance. Both are way better than the Chinese/Taiwanese stuff. Can't get as low with this set-up though and it's not exactly plug and play.

I can agree with that. Definitely better than the one size fits all damping on the other low end asian stuff. ST's are definitely the better "put them on and don't worry about things" set-up than this but the Konis can handle firm springs and with the right thinking and design can be a pretty good track set-up.

Thanks guys. Can only be used on the rear anyway. Should have gone with ST's as I'm not as low as I'd like to be with the Koni / H&R setup. Anyone want to trade? Only 300 miles on this setup!
I can get you a good deal if you take those off.
