I am shopping for springs for a 2006 Cooper (R50), and was interrested by the H&R springs #50416-3.
I'm a bit confused about the amount of drop they give. H&R website list 1.0F 0.75R (I verified with them over the phone), but many vendors list for the same springs 1.3F 1.2R.

Someone knows or have installed thoses springs on a R50?

I would like a spring that lowers 1.2 to 1.3. I know M7 offer them, BUT they are for Cooper S. Ok, they say that they also fit a R50, but since a R50 is lighter than a R50, the drop wont be 1.3'', maybe only 1''.

Who knows who makes a spring that drops 1.3'' on a R50 (different part # for R50 and R53).

Nobody has H&R or M7 on a R50?

If a spring is designed for a 'S', and it is installed on a 'non-S', is it going to lower less, or the difference won't be noticable?

 

Call Marco at Turners (option #5 on their voice response system) and ask.

I already contacted Turner by email (not Marco), and they confirmed me that they were 1.3F 1.2R. But when I call H&R, they say they are 1.0F 0.75R.

That's why I would like to have feedback from people who have these springs on their R50 car.
