Sway bar bushings are tough to get to, but usually squeak when cold, not clunk. Any play in the steering? Could the rack be loose?

The rack was my next thought too. Running out of places to look! Swaybar bushing seem fine, and droping the subframe to change them looks like a PITA!!!

How about this. When exactly does it cluck? (e.g. turning left while hitting small bump at 20mpg....etc)

Its starts off loud when the cars cold! The colder it is outside the louder it is! After like 15-20min the noise get quieter! Its the loudest over small bumps! Just ordered some front swaybar bushing from WAY powerflex!

Well dropped the sub frame today, changed the sway bar bushings noise gone WTF???? How can sway bar bushing make a metal sounding clunking noise I have no idea??? They looked ok to not ripped, with a prybar they seemed fine! replaced them with powerflex bushing from WAY and that did the trick, so the moral to this story is if you got a noise in your front end, even if the sway bar bushings look ok CHANGE THEM!!!!!!

Great advice. I too have the noise and have searched everywhere. I thought it was coming from the rear. I changed springs and added a rear sway bar back in March and have been going nuts since. The Dr. may have just solved my problem. Hell I won't know till I buy some bushings from Way... I'll let ya know in a couple weeks or so. Thanks!
