Rear Strut Tower Brace...

Worth the $200 or is that better spent elsewhere?

Thanks in advance.

Have you seen any aftermarket rear STBs for the R56? I haven't found any yet.

I've heard that this is better than both a front and rear STB combined: http://www.waymotorworks.com/tsw-xbr...6-r55-r57.html

If you want stiffening the X brace would be better, but performance wise a rear sway bar would be much better bang for the buck.

Racing Dynamics makes a rear carbon brace for the strut tower for a R56.

That said, Spend your money elsewhere.

RllyDrvrIX, What do you want to do with the car. The chasis stiffening can add to nvh and is useful on a track car.

After running some "spirited" laps at Watkins Glen I learned that brakes and suspension improvements are needed if I'm going to track the car a bit more.

I'm from the 4x4 world, not too knowledgable about making cars stop and turn better.

Oh good. Found another track person from the NE. Suspension and tires are very important. I have been having this addiction for a few years now and think that wgi is my favorite track. Going there next weekend for open track, hoping to get 4-5 hours per day.

We have about 8 -10 of us that track Minis all around the NE. We can certainly help you with some of our experiences.

Best advise: Do not buy many of the popular junk out there.

Trackmasters at wgi

April 30 Saturday. Signed up for only one day to see if the car is running well before I put out more money down for day 2.

See this thread for our plans, muses and other fun factoids related to our track oriented cars. Introduce yourself to some of the track maniacs.
