Coilover Questions

I would like to lower my car to have no wheel gap. I do not want to track my car often if at all so i have decided Vmaxx Coilovers are for me. With purchasing coilovers i hear everyone talk about camber plates and rear control arms. Will i be need to purchase all 3 to achieve my no wheel gap goal?

Any info would be greatly appreciated

both the camber plates are lower control arms have no effect on ride height - so strictly speaking the answer is no.

but...

given the geometry of the Mini suspension, lowering the car substantially (1.5" or more) will create quite a bit of negative camber at the back axle. many folks use lower control arms out back that are adjustable, so they can reduce that negative camber to a value that will not produce accelerated wear on the inner edge of the tires

on the front axle, lowering does not add substantial negative camber, and I think the reason many folks add the camber plates is to increase the lateral grip available, thereby reducing the car's natural tendency to under-steer

cheers,

Charlie
