You'd need the newer trailing arms as well. The bushing carrier might even bolt to holes that the early cars didn't even have. But it is a different arm for sure.

My rear trailing arm bushing is also shot on the driver side.

My car is 2003/5 build. Is mine an earlier design or a later design?

Can I just buy the poly bushings from this link and put them on?
http://www.waymotorworks.com/powerfl...m-bushing.html

Or there are different versions of poly bushings?

Those are inserts, if the bushing is bad they wont do you any good.

The bushing went bad.

Which part do I need to replace then? I couldn't find the part number for that rear trailing arm bushings, only the entire trailing arm for $453 each on PelicanParts.

Any ideas?

That bushing would need parts 5, 6, 7, from this pic. the bushing is actually molded into the housing IIRC.
The dealership shuld have them.

Got it! Thanks you are truly helpful!

My mini has 76k miles since 2003/5, lots of things to replace..

In the last 6 months, I've replaced shift cables, front tie-rods, front ball joints, front endlinks, front control arm bushings, clutch slave cylinder, clutch, rear main shaft seal, clutch hydraulic line.

The next batch of work is rear trailing arm bushings, rear control arms, valve cover gasket, spark plug gaskets, power steering pump fan.

Long list, lots of $$$, hopefully it'll be new again.

At least the front is very stable and shifting is like new after replacing the shift cable, and the clutch is perfect after replacing it with OEM clutch kit.

I wouldn't have the confidence to keep the car if not because of the people like you here.

At the end, I think it's quite worthwhile to keep it.
