Suspension rear trailing arm bracket
rear trailing arm bracket
hi all new to site
could do with a little help on a problem ive got, ive got a 2002 cooper s & the trailing arm bushings are shot been searching for just the bushing but cant seem to find them seen on the oem parts lookup that you have to buy the bracket with the bushing in then i notice from may 2003 the part changed & is alot cheaper what id like to know is would the latter part fit the 2002 model?
My rear trailing arm bushing is also shot on the driver side.
My car is 2003/5 build. Is mine an earlier design or a later design?
Can I just buy the poly bushings from this link and put them on?
http://www.waymotorworks.com/powerfl...m-bushing.html
Or there are different versions of poly bushings?

Which part do I need to replace then? I couldn't find the part number for that rear trailing arm bushings, only the entire trailing arm for $453 each on PelicanParts.

Any ideas?
Got it! Thanks you are truly helpful!
My mini has 76k miles since 2003/5, lots of things to replace..
In the last 6 months, I've replaced shift cables, front tie-rods, front ball joints, front endlinks, front control arm bushings, clutch slave cylinder, clutch, rear main shaft seal, clutch hydraulic line.
The next batch of work is rear trailing arm bushings, rear control arms, valve cover gasket, spark plug gaskets, power steering pump fan.
Long list, lots of $$$, hopefully it'll be new again.
At least the front is very stable and shifting is like new after replacing the shift cable, and the clutch is perfect after replacing it with OEM clutch kit.

At the end, I think it's quite worthwhile to keep it.
