Suspension NM Upper Tie-Bar Fits w/ Increased Front Camber!
NM Upper Tie-Bar Fits w/ Increased Front Camber!
I adjusted the front camber of the R56 from the stock -.5 to -1.0 degrees by removing the locating pin and moving the upper bushing as far over to the center as I could in the oversized holes in the shock tower. I was concerned that a tie bar would not fit since not only does the overall dimension of the 3 bolts on each side decrease, the shock tower holes stays in place. The NM front bar allows for the overall adjustment as each end can be screwed in or out to compensate for this, it's about 1" of adjustment. The center hole diameter on the mounting plates is 3.82", this allows for about 3/16" of overall play on the shock tower holes.
I asked about this in several threads but no one confirmed. So I just wanted to let you guys all know that the NM bar will work if you max out stock camber in either direction. Here some quick pics. I threw on the NM turbo shield as well, and since the engine was replaced it didn't come with the Wings, so in the meantime an extra E24 steering wheel Roundel will work!
