Suspension Best setup for daily driving?
Hmmm. Something to look into. Does anybody have have access to alignment specs they can pick typical "performance" cars from different origins and make a comparison? All would need to be strut based, as proper (read that unequal A-arm) suspensions have more camber change with bump necessating less static camber. Roll stiffness also plays an equal role. German "performance" cars are some what famous for being extremely stiff.
Caster is actually very complex. It does things to weight transfer, directional stability, breaking, and steering axis as well as relative camber. Lots of caster was a bear in the old days before power steering as it made grunting cars around parking lots quite a workout, even when the steering ratio was 10 to one. As technologies change, trade-off's also change. Just like the tradeoff of increased cornering grip with static negative camber could decrease straight line breaking depending on how much anti-dive is built in.
