Break-in period and springs

Would it be better to drive through the initial break-in period(1000 miles) before swapping out the springs(to NM's), or does the break-in period only apply to the engine?

You should not need the break in period for the springs.

But once you install the springs drive on them for about 500 miles so they settle then get an alignment.

I would go run the hell out of the engine early in life to seal the rings well. I had my MCS at two track weekends within the first 500 miles and my car doesn't burn a drop of oil.
