Going to transfer the FSDs from my last Mini to my "new" one (03 to 04). After reading most of the related threads I am going to tackle it myself with the use of a spring compressor. I can't figure out what the image in the enclosed instructions is telling me.

Some imaginary line that aligns one mounting bolt down the spring to the lower perch. Anyone have a clue?

You should make some marks so as to reassemble parts in their orignal allingment. When I did mine I used a straight edge and peices of masking tape to mark the strut, cap and spring.
