Not sure if it's ok to post 'em on his behalf, but this is how his car looks now... He says he still wants to drop a bit, and get rid of a lot of rubbing in the rear.

Hope that's cool, John.

Later,
- Leo.

Thanks for posting the pics Leo. I'll stop by your house tomorrow or something so you can see it in person.

Yeah, for sure, man. Tomorrow is my mama's birthday, so might go out to dinner, but feel free to stop during the day/later in the week. Just call me up.

And about the location, Jen (girlfriend) saw the pics and went... "ooohhh I know that!" She's from Miami, too.

That looks really really nice!

We call UPS "Brown Santa". Currently our regular driver is...well.....brown! So if he ever overhears us we might have some 'splainin' to do.

Bring it over on the weekend and we can tackle that and my spacers/proper drop together. I should be getting my shipment by then...

Hope all is well, and stay inside, man. Flood warnings all over town.

^ I was gonna ask the same thing. lol.

Oh, by the way - John, do you know if the Mk1 dude still needs the spacers? I have my front ones (need to install) but I'm waiting on the rears. If he still needs/wants 'em, they're his on Monday/Tuesday...

I'll ask him. The last time I talked to him he didnt need em cause he hadnt lowered the car yet. It was just sitting on the coils all the way up.

Im kinda trapped in my house this weekend cause of the Super Bowl so I'll bring my car over to visit next week sometime. It sucks living within walking distance of the stadium lol.

Im thinking you're gonna need spacers.

My OEM wheels were 6.5in wide +48 and they rubbed. A 7.5in wide wheel +45 has 10mm LESS clearance between the wheel and the strut.

I'm running 17x7.5" with 5mm spacers and the fronts have paper-thin clearance between wheels and struts. I'm on 205/40's.
With 5mm spacers, you can drop it comfortably.

Pretty flush...

CAMBER!!! Getting that fixed tomorrow...

cheating...

Later,
Leo.

Car is looking great Leo. Photoshoot due sometime soon.

John, sorry I wasn't able to make it up to Leo's place when you guys did the coils. Good to see everything went well. What part of Miami do you normally reside by, I know Miami is huge but I've never seen your car around..

lol. Yeah... Just came back from getting an alignment... Turned out it was -5 degrees in the rears!

John, I know you like camber, but even you have to admit, that was too much...
On the good news, after the camber was fixed, the wheels are now pushed more towards the fenders. It really looks flush now.

John, I'm holding you onto that photoshoot.
