Suspension anyone using eibachs coilover's
anyone using eibachs coilover's
Anyone using Eibach's Pro-Street-S Coil-Over's How do you like them? How is the ride and comfort of the ride. I currently have h&r rss coilover's and they are super stiff but the handleing is great. I'm not sure if i want to rebuild them or buy a set of eibachs? What should i do?
What rates? Are u making them softer or firmer?
I want coil-overs mostly so I can lower the car a bit without sacrificing suspension travel, but concerned that the rates will be to stiff. I don't want to feel like I'm riding in a go cart, and don't want my car jumping up and down as I'm driving on the Highway.
If I understand correctly, with proper coilovers vs, just getting lowering springs, you can lower the car more without losing suspension travel.. Am i on the right track here?
Anyone else, have custom rates on their coils that have softened up the ride a bit vs standard rates?

You are definitely on the right track...at 1 inch lower than stock, I believe you would have .5 inches more bump travel than stock with these or KW V1.
I'm probably going with 5k/5k, which would be slightly firmer than what they come with but fairly close. Still kinda soft compared to most other coilovers.
The Eibachs come with progressive rate springs standard, which i'm not a fan of. Too soft and I like a more predictable consistent feel with linear springs.
My main goals will be handling and ride quality. I will probably lower the car a .25 to .5 inches at most, so i'm hoping the extra bump travel and linear springs with a decent rate will keep me off the bumpstops.
Figuring out spring lengths will be the tricky part, but shouldn't be too hard as i've specced coilovers before.
I'll probably do Swift or Hyperco springs. Maybe KW springs since i've got some on the shelf.
