2004 MINI ONE want a coilovers, do I need additional parts?

Hi all,

Sorry, newbie here. If my 2004 MINI ONE without sports suspension want to change to SPAX coilovers RSX580 (http://www.spax.co.uk/modern/rsx.php...2eafe6bac9970f) do I need additional parts beside the coilovers itself? If yes, please list/let me know what else do I need to make this happen.

Thanks alot.

If you're going to be lowering the car, you might want some adjustable rear control arms to remove some of the excessive camber that lowering will introduce.

There are lots of makers. I think there is a comparison thread about control arms on here somewhere...

This is a great idea, I think.

I have Spax RSX coilovers on my car. I also have the stock control arms. I love the handling, but I think I am getting some pretty abnormal tire wear in the back. The inside edge of my rear tires are scalloping pretty heavily. There is plenty of tread on the rest of the tire. But, I will be replacing these soon. Anyway, my car is lowered about 1 - 1.5 inches. If I had adjustable LCAs then I would bet that my tires wouldn't be wearing like they are. Don't know what it would do to the handling, though.

$0.02
