Thanks for resurrencting this thread. This was on my mod list, but was forgotten.

 

Found the source of the rattle. Easy to resolve.

The point where the two exhaust hangars on the Q300 exhaust pipe bend slightly downward come into contact with the Xbrace.

Removing .25" to .5" of the hangar material will resolve the issue. Imagery forthcoming...

 

ok. no cutting required.

Below are images of the issue and resolution.

Issue - the passenger side exhaust hangar of the Invidia Q300 was touching the X-Brace.

Solution - Brace removed, short focused blows with a small sledge hammer to bend the hangar upward approximately .5".

Brace test fitted, plenty of clearance, bolts inserted and tightened down.

That's good to know, looks like if the hanger on the invidia was shorter it would have worked too.

 

Way and all,

I ended cutting ~.25" off each of the Invidia hangars anyway. If it touches now, there are other more serious issues at hand.
