I don't think the torsional differences between the passenger footwell areas under high cornering load are great enough for this bar to be of any effect.

If you just hold onto the wheel harder, you don't need to put that much strain on the seat...

Yes, it will make a big difference in helping to lower the CG from the wallet area to the underseat area.

That's the most rediculous "performance" part I have ever seen. Tossing magnets in your gas tank will be money better spent.

You would get more performance from covering your car in oil so the wind causes less drag.

If this thing actually did something I would be terrified to even drive my car! i mean come on...if are cars are that week in that area...Holy %*** Batman we are in some trouble!

On a more positive note...It will add more weight to the lower section of the car thus lowering the center of gravity thus creating some insane handeling capabilities!

-Please nobody be so gullible as to believe the above positive note.

But hey, another thought...this could maybe be rigged for holding a "waste" bag for the driver

wow... people will sell anything!

i agree with the comment that it is used to keep thinkings from sliding under the seat.

^If you are replying to my last comment...that is one take on it...
My take was a little more vulgar and humorous: Think like a "waste" bag for an Astronaut...

I went to KMart and bought some weights. I got about 500 lbs total and mounted all the plated under the seats and back area. Sure did lower the center of gravity. Best mod I have done so far. You dont need the seat bracket bar.

You added 500 lbs of balast!? I hope you're joking. It is hard to read into tone, a drawback to the written word.

Glad to hear that the center of gravity mod works like a charm
So how did you come about 500lbs? Does that create a neutral balance? I would think that more could eventually create understeer and if you shifted it back up towards the front=oversteer....

Wait a minute...are we discussing weight jacking? I thought that was only on race cars

won't do anything for you in blue -- if only it was available in red

Yes I am joking.. Its really like 300 lbs..

I think I would definitely think about getting one for my car.. If only it was Carbon fiber. That would bump the HP up at least 5%

5% more like 50%...don't you know all of the secret powers of CF? Plus it would weigh like a 1,000x's less than the original!

mini_macky- by no means do I mean for any of the above to be offensive to you or your knowledge of our cars...I looked through everything and just wanted you to know that I in no way intended for any of this to upset you if it has...

Just wanted to get this out there before any harsh words could potentially rise...from anyone...

Dito. Not trying to be a ****. Just our funny way of saying "No. This it total crap. Please dont buy it"

The more you read and learn from posts on here the more you will find out there is a ton of crap that people will try to sell to either make the Mini faster or look "cooler". I still think the PU wing extention is the biggest waste of cash. IMO.

no harm no foul guys. it's all good my initial reaction to seeing the bar was "WTF?" and thought i'd post it here

i guess the title could've used a little more humor as to not give the impression that i'm ACTUALLY considering buying it (hence the popcorn smiley in the bottom of the pic)

Thanks for sharing this. The laugh made my day.

The part I liked the best was the "english" product description. I have seen some other mangled product instruction and description translations, but this one is right up there with the worst.

Now that we got that settled, let's get back to the 500 lbs of CG enhancement......

Well, it makes sense in Japanese on their website.
