I have the ALTA intake with JCW strut brace...works fine.

It's kind of pricey compared to some other ones. Does it have the reinforcement plates on it?

I just received an e-mail reply from Peter at M7 Tuning indicating that the M7 strut tower brace will fit perfectly with the Alta CAI. that will likely be my next upgrade soon.

Does that bar have the problem the r53 bar had with the hood?
