DIY Alta 19mm sway bar install

Hello,

Just wondering how hard is it to DIY install the Alta 19mm sway bar on the R56 MINI? I have just got a quote from my local mechanic that it is a major job and takes more than 3 hours while there are other people suggested that it's "Relatively easy to install".

So is DIY install recommended by following the instructions from Alta?

Thanks in advanced :-)

If you consider yourself "handy" and you've got the tools that Alta recommends, its easy. I have never done a sway bar before, but I did mine in 45 minutes. Really quite easy, and the Alta instructions were bang on.

A really simple install....can take 30min if you just know what you're doing....should just be able to follow ALTA's instructions and be fine.

3 hours is a ripoff. I watched Way install one in about 30-40 minutes (the know what they're doing, 2 people). They charged me $100, fair I thought.
