Advice...How to Adjust Coilovers?

As mentioned in my other post, last weekend I installed H&R Street Performance Coilovers on my R56. Question, with the rear spring perches set at the same height, the left rear corner of the car sits about a 1/2 inch lower than the right (passenger) side. This must be because of the gas tank? Since adjusting the perches up increases spring preload, should I increase the spring preload on the left or decrease on the right side to level out the car? Or just leave it alone? BTW, the front is level. Advice? Thanks.

I'm not familiar with your set up but can't you just adj ride height without messing with the spring perch adjustment? Isn't there a couple of other (lock/adj) nuts below that perch nut?

No, the H&R coilovers don't have a separate ride-height adjustment. Any adjustments to height have to be made by adjusting the preload.

The H&R coilovers don't have adjustable damping either.

the proper way is by corner weighting the car. and all 4 will be different when you finish.

Yes, but with some coilovers, you can corner-weight the car without having to mess with preload. I didn't have to touch the preload when I corner-weighted mine. I've never needed to adjust the preload for anything, actually.

I'd find a nice Race shop in the area...and have them do it, but show you how in the process.
