Suspension Adj. control arm installation
Adj. control arm installation
I'm getting ready to install adjustable control arms on my '03 S, and noticed that the upper inboard bolts don't look like they can be removed without hitting the gas tank. Do those bolts have to come all the way out, or will they pull back far enough to allow you to drop the control arms? Anything else complicated about this job? Any step-by-step instructions online anywhere?
Thanks!
Jeff

I ran into this when installing mine recently. Just something to lookout for.

i used an 1 3/4" extension and a small 3/8" breaker bar. It just holds the head of the bolt while i turn the nut on the other end. It is kinda tight but there is just enough room to do it. Then slide the bolt out the back.
I did the whole job in about 2 hours, including going to the auto parts store twice.
You will need to get an alignment afterwards.
